Ingredients:
- 6 Large Eggs (Grade A)
- 2 cups Cold Water
- 2 cups Ice Cubes
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ice Bath: Fill a large bowl generously with cold water and ice cubes. Set aside immediately next to the air fryer.
- Preheat the Machine: Preheat the air fryer to 135°C (275°F) for 5 minutes. Preheating is vital for even cooking and reliable results.
- Load the Eggs: Carefully place the cold eggs directly into the preheated air fryer basket. Ensure they are arranged in a single layer and do not touch excessively. Do not overcrowd the basket.
- Air Fry for Desired Doneness: Cook at 135°C (275°F). Use 14-15 minutes for jammy yolks or 16-17 minutes for hard-boiled (firm center).
- Shock the Eggs: Immediately upon completion of cooking time, use tongs to transfer the hot eggs directly into the prepared ice bath.
- Cool Completely: Allow the eggs to sit in the ice bath for a minimum of 5 minutes. This stops the cooking process instantly and is the secret to easy peeling.
- Peel and Serve: Once cooled, gently crack the eggshell all over. Peel under a gentle stream of cool water. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.
