Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5 lbs / 680g), peeled and cut into ½-inch thick fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (4g)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (3g)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (1.5g)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder (1.5g)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt (3g)
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (0.5g)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Peel and cut sweet potatoes into evenly sized fries.
- In the large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil and cornstarch. Ensure fries are evenly coated.
- Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Toss again to thoroughly coat.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the fries. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, and easily pierced with a fork. Watch carefully toward the end to prevent burning.
- Let the fries cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
