Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and dry the broccoli florets thoroughly; then, cut them into even-sized pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the bowl; toss until evenly coated with the seasoning.
  5. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Place in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway, until tender and edges are crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven; drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
