Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Fill a large pot with 1 cup of water and add lemon juice. Place a steamer basket inside
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning (if using) and a pinch of salt.
- Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the steamer basket. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes until pink and opaque.
- While shrimp are steaming, melt butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper.
- Once shrimp are done, transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
