Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large pot with 1 cup of water and add lemon juice. Place a steamer basket inside
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning (if using) and a pinch of salt.
  3. Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the steamer basket. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes until pink and opaque.
  4. While shrimp are steaming, melt butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Once shrimp are done, transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
