Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese (4% Milkfat recommended)
  • 1 medium Frozen Banana (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup Milk of Choice (start with less)
  • 1-2 teaspoons Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Tiny pinch of Sea Salt
  • 3-4 Ice Cubes (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Assemble Ingredients: Gather all measured ingredients near the blender.
  2. Layer the Blender: Pour the liquid (Milk) into the blender jar first.
  3. Add Soft Ingredients: Next, add the cottage cheese, sweetener, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add Dry & Frozen Components: Add the cocoa powder, salt, frozen banana slices, and any optional ice cubes on top.
  5. Initial Blend: Secure the lid and start blending on a low speed, gradually increasing to high speed.
  6. Scrape and Re-blend (If Needed): If the mixture gets stuck, stop the blender, use a rubber spatula to push the thicker ingredients down towards the blades, and continue blending until smooth.
  7. Check Consistency: Blend until completely smooth. If it’s too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired drinkable consistency is achieved.
  8. Serve: Pour immediately into a tall glass and serve.
