Ingredients:
- 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup (120g) liquid egg whites
- 2 scoops (60g) vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp (10g) chia seeds
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp (20g) maple syrup
Instructions:
- Combine the rolled oats, almond milk, water, and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Stir occasionally for 5-7 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the oats are tender.
- Reduce heat to low. Slowly whisk in the liquid egg whites and chia seeds. Stir constantly for 2 minutes until the oats become thicker and more velvety.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and protein powder. Fold in the maple syrup until well combined.
