Ingredients:
- 1 round of Brie cheese (about 8 ounces or 225 grams)
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree (120 grams)
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice blend (5 grams)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (15 mL)
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped (100 grams)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (50 grams)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (28 grams)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Sliced baguette, crackers, or apple slices for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the Brie cheese in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and maple syrup. Spread this mixture on top of the Brie.
- In a bowl, combine finely chopped walnuts, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, thyme, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Gently press the walnut mixture over the pumpkin layer on the Brie.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the Brie is soft and the walnut crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm with sliced baguette, crackers, or apple slices.
