Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Jarlsberg cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
  • Cooked pasta of your choice (approximately 12 oz or 340 g)

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and measure them.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  5. Gradually whisk in the grated Jarlsberg cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Add black pepper, salt, and nutmeg (if using), and mix well.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Plate the pasta and garnish with additional cheese or herbs as desired.
