Ingredients:

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled (about 450g)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes) (120ml)
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup (120ml)
  • 1 cup white rum (240ml)
  • 1-2 cups ice, preferably crushed (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Hull and rinse the strawberries thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  2. Cut the limes in half and juice them until you have about 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice.
  3. In a blender, combine the hulled strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup, and white rum. Blend on high until smooth.
  4. Add ice gradually while blending, until you reach your desired slushy consistency.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed by adding more syrup or lime juice.
  6. Pour into glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry or lime slice if desired.
