Ingredients:
- 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (approx. 500g / 1.1 lbs)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (45 ml)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tablespoon pre-minced)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (30g), plus extra for serving
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.5g)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes, to taste (a pinch)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Wash and cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Ensure broccoli is evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender-crisp and lightly browned, flipping halfway through.
- Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
