Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (approx. 500g / 1.1 lbs)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (45 ml)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tablespoon pre-minced)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (30g), plus extra for serving
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.5g)
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, to taste (a pinch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash and cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  3. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Ensure broccoli is evenly coated.
  4. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender-crisp and lightly browned, flipping halfway through.
  5. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
