Ingredients:
- 24 small pretzel twists (about 8 oz / 225 g)
- 24 Rolo candies (1 package, approx. 10 oz / 280 g)
- 1 cup (6 oz / 170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- Sea salt (to sprinkle on top)
- Crushed nuts (for added crunch)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Place pretzel twists on the baking sheet, spaced evenly apart.
- Place one Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 4-5 minutes, or until the Rolos are softened but not completely melted.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven, and gently press another pretzel on top of each melted Rolo. Allow to cool slightly.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the pretzel bites, if desired.
- Sprinkle with sea salt or crushed nuts while the chocolate is still warm.
- Allow the bites to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for quicker setting.
