Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub the olive oil over the meat.
  3. Season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the ribs on each side for 3-4 minutes until browned (optional).
  5. In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, brown sugar, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Place the ribs in the crock pot and pour the sauce mixture evenly over the ribs.
  7. Cover and set the crock pot to low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until tender.
  8. Carefully remove the ribs from the crock pot and place on a serving platter, drizzling any remaining sauce on top.
