Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 French baguette or 12 slices of white bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Slice the French baguette into 1-inch thick slices or use ready-made bread slices. Brush one side of each slice with melted butter.
  4. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet, butter side down. Spread the crab mixture evenly over each slice.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
