Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add minced garlic to the saucepan; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (but not browned).
- Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cubed cream cheese to the pan; whisk until fully melted and incorporated into the cream.
- Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese; continue whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve over cooked pasta, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
