Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Add minced garlic to the saucepan; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (but not browned).
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine; bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the cubed cream cheese to the pan; whisk until fully melted and incorporated into the cream.
  5. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese; continue whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and serve over cooked pasta, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
