Ingredients:

  • 10 oz (280 g) tortilla chips
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup (150 g) diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) sliced jalapeños (pickled or fresh)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh salsa
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup if desired.
  3. Spread the tortilla chips evenly on the baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle both the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the chips.
  5. Evenly distribute black beans, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños over the cheese.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately with sour cream and salsa on the side.
