Ingredients:

  • 16 oz (450g) Sour Cream, full-fat or low-fat
  • 8 oz (225g) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Mayonnaise
  • 1 packet (1 oz or 28g) Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 can (2.25 oz or 64g) Sliced Black Olives, drained and patted dry
  • Assorted Halloween-themed Crackers (e.g., pumpkin-shaped, ghost-shaped)
  • Vegetable sticks (carrots, celery, cucumber)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Spread the dip evenly onto a serving platter or in a bowl.
  3. Finely chop about half of the black olives.
  4. Use about 2 tablespoons of the finely chopped black olives to create a concentric circle in the center of the dip. This is the spider body.
  5. Create concentric circles with the remaining whole olive slices around the black olive body.
  6. Use a toothpick or a sharp knife and start at the middle and make small lines out to the edges of the platter to create a spider web pattern.
  7. Use remaining whole olive slices to create spider legs extending outward from the center (Optional).
  8. For best results, chill the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld (Optional).
  9. Serve immediately with assorted crackers and vegetable sticks.
