Ingredients:

  • 1 box (approximately 18-20 oz / 510-570g) brownie mix
  • Water (as specified on brownie mix)
  • Vegetable Oil (as specified on brownie mix)
  • Eggs (as specified on brownie mix)
  • 4 oz (113g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brownie Batter: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box to prepare the batter.
  2. Bake the Brownie Bites: Fill each cup of the mini muffin tin about 2/3 full with brownie batter. Bake according to the brownie mix instructions (reduce baking time by 3-5 minutes due to the smaller size).
  3. Cool the Brownie Bites: Let the brownie bites cool completely in the muffin tin.
  4. Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in vegetable shortening for a smoother, more fluid chocolate if using.
  5. Create the Spiderwebs: Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag or Ziploc bag. Pipe a spiral of white chocolate on top of each brownie bite.
  6. Draw the Spiderwebs: Using a toothpick, drag the toothpick from the center of the spiral to the edge of the brownie, creating the spiderweb design. Repeat around the brownie bite.
  7. Set the Chocolate: Allow the white chocolate to set completely before serving.
