Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- Lemon wedges, for garnish
- Fresh herbs, for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
- In a bowl, combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add shrimp and toss to coat.
- Let the shrimp marinate for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Fill a large pot with water (about 1-2 inches) and place the steamer basket inside. Bring water to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Place the marinated shrimp in the steamer basket in a single layer. Cover the pot with a lid.
- Steam for about 6-8 minutes or until shrimp are pink and opaque, checking for doneness.
- Remove from heat and transfer shrimp to a serving platter. Sprinkle with parsley and thyme. Serve with lemon wedges and extra herbs for garnish.
