Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Lemon wedges, for garnish
  • Fresh herbs, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add shrimp and toss to coat.
  3. Let the shrimp marinate for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  4. Fill a large pot with water (about 1-2 inches) and place the steamer basket inside. Bring water to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  5. Place the marinated shrimp in the steamer basket in a single layer. Cover the pot with a lid.
  6. Steam for about 6-8 minutes or until shrimp are pink and opaque, checking for doneness.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer shrimp to a serving platter. Sprinkle with parsley and thyme. Serve with lemon wedges and extra herbs for garnish.
