Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1 large banana (120g), sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup (245g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Pour the 1 cup of milk into the blender jar first. Note: This creates a vortex that pulls the solid ingredients down toward the blades.
  2. Add the 1 cup of Greek yogurt on top of the milk. This ensures the liquids are at the bottom to prevent the motor from stalling.
  3. Drizzle in the 1 tablespoon of honey, the vanilla extract, and that crucial pinch of sea salt.
  4. Drop in the frozen banana slices. Distribution matters here; don't just dump them in one clump.
  5. Add the 2 cups of frozen strawberries last. Being the heaviest and hardest ingredient, they will push everything else down into the blades.
  6. Pulse the blender 5-6 times until the large fruit chunks are shattered. This prevents the blades from spinning fruitlessly in an air pocket.
  7. Switch to high speed and blend for 45 seconds until the mixture looks velvety and uniform. You shouldn't see any red flecks of unblended berry skin.
  8. Stop the blender and stir with a spoon. If it's too thick, add a splash of milk; if too thin, add two more frozen berries and blend again.
  9. Pour immediately into chilled glasses. The aroma should be intensely fruity and sweet.
