Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 mL) freshly squeezed orange juice (about 3 oranges)
- 1 cup (240 mL) water
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) cheap tequila (e.g., Blanco)
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) grenadine syrup
Instructions:
- Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium until sugar is dissolved, then cool.
- In a bowl, mix the cooled sugar syrup with orange juice and tequila.
- Blend mixture for a smoother texture (optional).
- Pour 1/2 of the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Drizzle with grenadine, then pour the remaining mix on top.
- Freeze for 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours for a smoother consistency.
- Scoop into bowls and enjoy.
