Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or a mix) - (approx. 800g/ 2 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons paprika (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (5ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) (2.5ml)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (2.5ml)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine all spice rub ingredients. Mix well.
  2. Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken. Sprinkle the spice rub evenly over all sides of the chicken.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  6. Arrange chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up. Cook in batches if needed.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes. Flip and cook for another 10-13 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
