Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or a mix) - (approx. 800g/ 2 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons paprika (30ml)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon onion powder (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (5ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) (2.5ml)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (2.5ml)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine all spice rub ingredients. Mix well.
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place in a large bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken. Sprinkle the spice rub evenly over all sides of the chicken.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Arrange chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes. Flip and cook for another 10-13 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
