Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4-6 slices of bread (Brioche, Challah, or thick-cut white bread)
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. In the large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Pour the batter into the shallow dish. Dip each slice of bread into the batter, ensuring both sides are thoroughly soaked.
  3. Melt the butter in the skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices in the hot skillet, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
