Ingredients:

  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup red and pink chocolate candy melts
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Valentine M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup heart shaped sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Measure 9 cups of Rice Chex into your largest bowl.
  2. Place 1 cup candy melts, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and 1/4 cup butter in a microwave safe bowl.
  3. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. Cook until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
  4. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla and 1/4 tsp sea salt. Wait until you smell the vanilla bloom.
  5. Pour the warm mixture over the Chex.
  6. Use a spatula to turn the cereal until every square is pink and glistening.
  7. Transfer the wet cereal into a large bag containing 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.
  8. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the mix looks like a snowy landscape.
  9. Spread the mix onto a parchment lined sheet.
  10. Once cooled, toss in 1 cup M&Ms and 1/2 cup sprinkles.
