Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated white sugar
- 2 large (100g) eggs
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Beat the softened butter and white sugar together on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula until no flour streaks remain.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Place the baking sheets in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are barely golden brown.
