Instructions:
- Ensure the cooked chicken is shredded finely.
- In the food processor, combine the drained cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Process until completely smooth and creamy.
- Scrape the mixture into a mixing bowl. Gently fold in the shredded chicken and the optional dressing, mixing until evenly distributed. Taste and adjust salt/pepper if needed.
- Transfer the mixture into a prepared small oven-safe baking dish (approx. 8x8 inch).
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling. For a golden crust, switch to the broiler for the last 1–2 minutes, watching very carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle generously with fresh chives before serving warm with dippers like celery or tortilla chips.
