Ingredients:

  • 4 Salmon Fillets (approx. 6 oz each, skin-on or off)
  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (freshly minced)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest (from 1 large lemon)
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Dill or Parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1 medium Lemon (thinly sliced, optional garnish)
  • 1 tsp Fresh Chopped Chives (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets aggressively dry using paper towels. Lightly brush the fillets with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side down on the prepared sheet pan.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic, lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, and chopped herbs (dill or parsley). Whisk until fully combined.
  4. Spoon or brush the garlic-butter mixture evenly over the top and sides of the salmon fillets. Lay 1-2 thin lemon slices directly on top of each fillet, if desired.
  5. Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish flakes easily.
  6. Remove the sheet pan from the oven and let the salmon rest for 3–5 minutes. Drizzle any remaining pan juices over the fillets, sprinkle with fresh chives, if using, and serve immediately.
