Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) Cooked Mashed Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup (30g) All-Purpose Flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 1 Large Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup (25g) Grated Cheddar Cheese (optional)
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 lb (450g) Good Quality Pork Sausages (approximately 6-8 sausages)
  • Brown Sauce, Tomato Ketchup, or your favourite dipping sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Prick the sausages a few times with a fork.
  2. Place the sausages in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  3. While the sausages are cooking, in a large bowl, combine the cooked mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and cheddar cheese (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Once the sausages are cooked, let them cool slightly. Cut each sausage into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch/2.5cm chunks).
  5. Take a spoonful of the mashed potato mixture and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a piece of sausage in the center and wrap the mashed potato around it to form a ball or nugget shape. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Place the shaped bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
