Ingredients:

  • 1 unit Aldi Mama Cozzis January pizza (approx. 30 oz / 850g, Pit Smoked Brisket or Philly Cheesesteak)
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup Fresh arugula

Instructions:

  1. Position your oven rack to the lowest slot and place your pizza stone or perforated pan inside. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) for at least 20 minutes to allow for maximum heat soaking.
  2. Remove the Mama Cozzi pizza from its plastic wrap and cardboard base. Using a pastry brush, apply a light layer of extra virgin olive oil to the outer crust edge and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  3. Slide the pizza directly onto the preheated stone or pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
  4. Rotate the pizza 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan over the toppings. Continue baking for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is a deep mahogany color.
  5. Transfer the pizza to a wire cooling rack and let it rest for 3 minutes. This prevents the bottom from steaming and becoming soggy while allowing the cheese to set.
  6. Top with red pepper flakes and fresh arugula if desired, then slice with a pizza rocker or wheel.
