Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp (10ml) vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a cookie scoop, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the sheet without touching.
  6. Slide the tray into the freezer for 60 to 90 minutes to flash freeze.
  7. Transfer the firm dough balls into a freezer-safe bag, squeeze out excess air, seal tightly, and label with the date and bake time.
