Ingredients:

  • 1 ear of corn, in its husk

Instructions:

  1. Leave the corn completely in its husk. Do not remove the silk.
  2. Place the corn (still in its husk) directly in the microwave. Microwave on high for 3-7 minutes. The cook time depends on the wattage of your microwave.
  3. Carefully remove the corn from the microwave using oven mitts or tongs. The husk will be hot! The corn is done when it is slightly softened and the kernels are plump.
  4. Carefully remove the husk and silk (be careful of escaping steam!). The silk should come off easily.
  5. Slather with butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper, or add your favorite toppings.
