Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (113g) good quality mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (approx. 30g) crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) garlic powder
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the crumbled blue cheese and garlic powder. Avoid over-mixing.
  3. Season with black pepper and salt to taste. Taste as you go.
  4. Stir in the chopped fresh herbs, if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This step is crucial for the best flavour of the blue cheese dressing.
